homemade holiday: easy pajama pants

I'm not doing an entirely homemade holiday, but I'm making a few gifts for each of my kids this year.  Oscar is getting a new pair of fun star wars pajama pants, made with the Oliver + S bedtime story pajama pattern (so glad that one went digital!).

The three pairs pictured below are going to some kids I don't know, so fingers crossed that they fit!  Every year, the women at my church put together 150 stockings for children in Santa Barbara's CALM organization (it stands for Child Abuse Listening Mediation).   It is a big job, but the children and their therapists really appreciate it.

Hopefully the little boy who gets the Star Wars pants isn't as freaked out by their creepy looking eyes as I am.   I know Oscar will love the fabric, but it gives me the heebie jeebies, just a little bit.  :)

Anyway, if you are looking for a quick and easy gift to make your kids, pajama pants are a good place to start!  I really like Rae's Big Butt Baby Pant pattern for younger kids, and the Oliver + S pajama pants pattern for older kids (they have a pattern sized for little kids as well).
